I wanted to tell you a little secret. Well... okay maybe it is not a secret. I love you all so dearly my blog friends... and I love inspiring and sharing with you. So I thought it would be nice if I did something sweet for you.

First of all....

You wanted me to show you how I do some of my art. So I will be putting together a little 'show and tell' of how I create some of my pieces. It will be a .... this is my process sort of deal. 

Secondly...

I thought, it is so nice when you get to explore a person's  little unique world... their style, curious and fabulous finds etc.... So I decided I will be doing a weekly post called Making it Pretty! My mister told me to go shopping, what a surprise!!! I am so excited! I thought you may like to enjoy the journey with me... So we can make my life and yours pretty together. I think we will have a fabulous time! 

So that is it.... I am a very happy girl. I have no deadlines this week and I am going to make some art and get some ideas!! I also plan on making one new piece of art for every room in the house.... thrilling isn't it. I thought so.

Recycle, Reuse....

I LOVE the thrift stores... who says thrifting isn't cool?
I wanted to give my studio a face lift... and being the practical girl I am... I decided to search high and low for unique things at the second hand stores around town. Oh boy, what fun! I bought every 50cent pearl necklace I could find to dress up my wire bust form... a couple new tables I can paint, a new metal desk, which you can see I decoupaged with the old pride and prejudice pages, and a couple new chairs that look sooooo girlie. I just had to have them! Nothing a little upholstery cleaner can't fix. I also cut off some old tree branches and made a tree centerpiece... I love how it turned out! Now I just need to paint some walls and put up some curtains and shelves! Whew..... I'll keep you posted, this may take a while especially with this cold I am fighting! Jere and I keep swapping this nasty thing back and forth! EEERRRRRGGG!
